Hyaluronic Acid is a natural compound serving as a viscous medium in the tissues of the body and as a lubricant in joints. It is also a humectant, which absorbs and retains moisture, capable of holding 1000 times its weight in water. When hyaluronic acid is plentiful in the skin, the skin looks plump and dewy. However, as we age and our supplies of HA lessen, our skin becomes thin, dull and less hydrated. Due to its high, relative, molecular mass Hyaluronic Acid HMW does not penetrate and instead sits of the skin surface where it binds to water to maintain hydration and cross-links with other HA molecules, to create a temporary barrier, making it very useful in helping to maintain the skin’s barrier function.

Hibiscus Flower contains high AHA, anti-oxidant, and mucilage content. These properties give it intense exfoliant, hydration and pore-reducing properties. The citric acid content accelerates cell turnover and natural surfactants help cleanse the skin in a mild, soothing way. These properties may be beneficial for reversing free radical damage and helping to even out skin tone and texture.
Rose Petals are rich in Vitamins A and C., and have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, astringent, antibacterial and moisturizing properties. They help to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, fight acne, calm rosacea, reduce redness and age spots, stimulate collagen production, prevent cell damage and help regenerate skin tissues. Rose is also very hydrating and can increase skin’s water content while balancing oil production.
Witch Hazel contains antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and astringent properties and is beneficial for all skin types. Historically it been used for a variety of issues, including balancing oily skin, clearing acne, healing bruises, cuts and scrapes, relieving bug bites, stings, and burns, shrinking varicose veins and hemorrhoids, minimizing the appearance of puffy under eye bags, eczema and psoriasis.
Apply to damp skin. May be used morning and/or night, after cleansing and before moisturizing.
